New England Camp Cedarbrook needs monthly supporters. Can you help?
New England Camp Cedarbrook depends on its friends and supporters—individuals and churches—to keep our ministry vital. We have deliberately chosen to keep our fees affordable for nearly all campers, and so contributions are needed to fill the gap not met by camper fees. Donations replenish the campership fund, which annually awards nearly $20,000 to campers with financial need.
Monthly donors are essential to the ongoing financial health of New England Camp Cedarbrook. Donors who make a regular commitment to send $10, $30, $50, $100 or more per month provide gifts that add up to a substantial contribution over the course of a year. Additionally, monthly or quarterly donations allow for greater financial planning.
You can send donations to New England Camp Cedarbrook, PO Box 154, Alfred, ME 04002. Please contact us for information on Electronic Fund Transfers for your convenience. We are currently updating our online credit card system. Please check back soon for information on donating online.
Capital Improvement Projects are always going on at camp. Right now, we have a significant need to replace the siding on both our Dining Hall and Soyster Lodge. Shikari bath house needs a complete renovation. These projects alone total over $80,000.00.

Our newest financial challenge: Buying a house
Early in 2007 the Board of Directors of New England Camp Cedarbrook was informed that the home of Paul and LaRue Soyster would be going up for sale. The house is located right on Camp Cherith Road, the driveway we all take when visiting camp. As this property is in a sensitive location, the sale of it on the open market could result in adverse effects on our camp. After a great deal of thought and prayer, the Board of Directors has moved to take advantage of our opportunity to purchase the 5-acre lot - and the lovely home the Soysters built there - for $260,000. The home will be a residence for our new Camp Director, while the camp maintains ownership and control of the property.
Through the generous donations of many faithful supporters, we have raised the money needed for the down payment on this property. We are currently looking for supporters to help us pay down the principle as quickly as possible. If you are able to help please send your donation to New England Camp Cedarbrook, PO BOX 154, Alfred, ME 04002.

Donating goods or services
Cedarbrook is always in need of new or used equipment, and donors may request a receipt for any contribution given to meet those needs. We also benefit greatly from Cedarbrook supporters who donate their professional expertise as graphic designers, plumbers, electricians, etc.

Estate giving
Planned gifts can be made in cash, real estate, stocks, bonds, personal property or life insurance. One of the simplest planned gifts is a bequest through your will in which you designate either a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate after other disbursements. In addition to supporting New England Camp Cedarbrook, it serves as an example to your heirs of the values you hold dear. A bequest also can reduce the amount of your taxable estate, which may increase the actual amount available to loved ones. If you have already planned to give in this way, please remember to update your will to include our new name.
